Weekend Wars

After more than one complaint about how I've only written one blog so far, I decided to give everyone a little sneak-peek into my very exciting upcoming weekend.

Friday night I have tickets to go see a couple of bands playing at a local place downtown, one of which is Los Campesinos. I don't know much about them or the other performers yet, but the last time I let the boyfriend take me to see some bands I knew nothing about, they were really great! This little downtown adventure will also include a long overdue trip to a local favorite eatery of mine called Best-Wurst...(well I actually made a special trip downtown not too long ago just to get a wurst, but that's beside the point). They make the absolute best wursts (hence the name) in all of Austin, and dare I say, the rest of the world! Come visit me and I will definitely take you there.

If Friday night isn't exciting enough, Saturday night is sure to be a blast!! It's time for Carnaval!!!! Check it out: http://www.sambaparty.com/

Carnaval Brasiliero is only the biggest party in Austin every year, and this year will be year 3 for me. With an attendance of about 6,000 people every year, Carnaval is the city's largest display of nudity, samba dancing, body paint and sequins, and live Brazilian music that only comes around once a year!!! If I survive the work week and then the weekend, there will be plenty of pictures to come.

  5. CRAB SALAD! LOL! She does have this little plate of "salad" with all her pretend barbie food, so who knows?! I will have to go back and listen to it again. She said "princesses" about 35 times, though.
