One of my favorite tv shows is The Colbert Report with Stephen Colbert. I'm thinking since my only blog friends are my family, you guys will at least know what show this is, if not love it as much as I do. Whatever your political affiliations may be, the guy is just a riot. That being said, if you ever catch an episode you might notice a little segment he does called "Tip of the Hat, Wag of the Finger"... a little rant and a little rave. I would like to start a little spin off segment of my own, but since I'm not clever enough (or have the time) to think up a name of my own, I'll just stick to his.
Tip of the Hat: This week...its puppies! I feel like every story I hear, every conversation I have, and every picture I see, is PUPPIES....which is fine cause I love puppies! I love puppies so much that I recieve a daily email called the Daily Puppy just to brighten each morning! http://www.dailypuppy.com/ Sign up for free and recieve a dose of adorable before anything else can ruin your day. Earlier this week I watched the AKC / Eukanuba Dog food Dog show. Weird as it sounds, I seriously sat and watched the whole thing. The winner of the herding group was the Corgi, which happens to be my new favorite dog. They are just so stinking cute with their stubby legs. Maybe I feel like I relate to them ;) I think everyone should go out and get a puppy right now because they are made of sugar and love and they make the world go 'round. Do it!
Wag of the finger: Bosses. They suck...end of story. I am only on my 4th job (1st one I consider a "real job") and I have already learned that bosses are generally out of touch, not the best communicators, and down-right weird sometimes. My boss in particular. If only they really knew what was going on with their companies and their employees things would probably go much more smoothly. Ahhh.....if only someone would make me their boss!

Stuffs
A few of you have asked to see more about the boyfriend, so here are a couple of pics we've taken recently. These two were taken the other day at the park...
(Its really a shame that I make this face so often....)
(Its really a shame that I make this face so often....)
This one was taken before we went to this gala event this past weekend. The tickets were $100 a person (ours were free from his work friend) and it was a pretty swanky affair, so I worried about what I was going to wear for days. It felt like a very adult activity to attend a "gala" and I was worried I would look out of place. I envisioned myself wearing a long gown, but apparently they just don't really make those anymore: long is out, short is in. Who knew? Thankfully I was appropriately dressed to not look out of place in my new dress (from ROSS, thank you), and I just added this pic cause I think I looked pretty darn cute! According to my roomate I looked like a present, lol :)

No Thoughts...
I must not be a very creative writer. I thought I liked to write, but so far I haven't had any brilliant ideas of things to write about. With no husband, no kids, and no social life, I have almost no inspiration for blog posts. Here is a typical day in the life of me:
1. I usually wake up later than I am supposed to. Four days a week I am left to my own devices and conscience to work an 8-5 day, so I usually don't. Since all that is required of me is that I check in with my boss via phone call by 9, I usually don't wake up til after 8. Then I lay in bed for a while contemplating what I might or might not eat for breakfast, and whether or not I should really put on a clean work shirt since I am the only one who will see (or smell) me all day.
2. If I'm at my first site by 9 I'm doing good. I can usually wrap up my "field work" in a few hours, so by lunchtime I'm back at home worrying about my next meal. My days are pretty solitary which is ok for the most part but it does make for pretty lame storytelling. When my roomate tells me about her day, all I've got as a comeback is: "So today, I heard on the radio...." This solitary lifestyle makes everyday things like showering, brushing my hair, and putting on a clean work shirt seem optional. But I don't think I'll reach out for help until I quit brushing my teeth.
3. By now its about 5pm. Here's where I take a mental recap of what will be on tv that night, and talk myself out of going to the gym for the third night in a row even though my marathon is in less than two weeks. Bad idea.
4. Even though I wake up pretty late, I go to sleep pretty early too. I'm usually in bed by 11, and somehow 9 hours of sleep still doesn't feel like enough. Sometimes throughout the week my schedule will vary. I have the occasional date-night, or movie with the roomate or boyfriend, but for the most part I'm pretty predictable, which makes for un-interesting blogs. But hey...If you need to know the latest song by the Killers, when SXSW events are going down in Austin, or any other random radio fact...I'm your girl.
